Dr. Gil (nee Dramitinos) received her bachelor’s degree from Barnard College, Columbia University, and she received her medical degree from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine. She then completed a residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Stony Brook University Hospital.
After completing fellowship training in Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery through Mount Auburn Hospital/Boston Urogynecology Associates in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Dr. Gil joined the staff at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center as Assistant Professor and Site Director of Urogynecology . She then went on to be the Division Director of Urogynecology at New York Presbyterian/Queens, New York.
Dr. Gil is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (since 2010) and in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (since 2013). She treats women with a variety of pelvic floor disorders, including: Pelvic organ prolapse, Urinary incontinence, Urinary tract and Rectal fistulas, Fecal incontinence, Urethral diverticula, Problems related to prior mesh procedures, and Urinary retention. She employs various treatment modalities depending on the type and severity of the problem and the patient's goals, including: Pelvic floor exercises, Bladder retraining, Pessary, Dietary modification, Pelvic floor physical therapy, Acupuncture, Medication, Injection of Botox, Bladder neurostimulator, Mesh sling, Native tissue sling, Office-based urethral bulking, Vaginal and/or laparoscopic fistula repair, Minimally invasive surgery for pelvic organ prolapse that may not necessitate a hysterectomy, using advanced laparoscopic techniques, or using a vaginal route (with or without the use of mesh).
