BOTOX - More than Just Cosmetics

It’s a frustrating and sometimes debilitating problem; urinary urgency you just can't ignore, much as you'd like to. An overactive bladder can reorganize the day's activities, and not in a good way. After all, it's far more common among men than women, and the majority of cases affect patients over age 65. But don't let those stats keep you from learning to spot the symptoms. Many people mistakenly think bladder cancer is only a disease of older men, but there are more than 18,000 women who are diagnosed with this cancer every year in the United States.

Pelvic Organ Prolapse

Pelvic organ prolapse — sometimes called genital prolapse — is rarely discussed, yet millions of women in the United States suffer from this hidden medical epidemic. The condition occurs when one or more of the pelvic organs — the uterus, bladder, or rectum — slip down from their normal position and either press against the wall of the vagina or protrude into or beyond the vagina.

3. Urinary incontinence only happens to older women

5. Incontinence usually requires surgery to be fixed.

INCONTINENCE IS NOT NORMAL, and there are many simple treatments that can improve the quality of your life! Some of these treatments are as simple as changing what you eat or drink, and even the most complex treatments are either done in the office or as a short out-patient procedure.
