About Urogynecology

Urogynecology is a subspecialty within obstetrics & gynecology that focuses on various pelvic floor disorders, including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse (the bulging of the bladder, uterus, or rectum through the vagina), constipation, and pelvic/bladder pain. Urogynecologists complete a fellowship after completing general training in obstetrics & gynecology to learn specialized diagnostic and therapeutic treatment methods.
