Our Providers

Dr. Paul Littman

I was drawn to the field of urogynecology (Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery) because of the general misconception that it is “normal” for women to develop urinary incontinence or prolapse as they get older. These conditions are extremely debilitating and cause many women to stop partaking in activities that they enjoy.

Over the past few years, a variety of minimally invasive treatments have been developed to help treat various pelvic floor disorders. These treatments are extremely effective and can almost-immediately restore the quality of life of most patients. I receive great satisfaction from being able to help my patients enjoy the life that they previously had.

I have brought a multitude of novel, minimally-invasive outpatient procedures to northwestern New Jersey including single-incision vaginal approaches to correct both urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. I am also proficient in robotic surgery for fibroids and prolapse. Some novel treatments that I offer for incontinence include sacral neuromodulation, botox-injections, and acupuncture-based treatments. I am also well-versed in minimally-invasive gynecology with an emphasis on uterine fibroids and irregular menstrual cycles.

I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York, followed by my medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. I then completed a residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology from the University of Buffalo in Buffalo, New York, and received further training in Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery through the Atlantic Health System in New Jersey for two years. I achieved board certification in 2013 in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery after passing the first-ever board examination.

I have numerous publications regarding urogynecology & minimally-invasive gynecologic surgery, and have won multiple surgical and administrative awards during my career, including both the NJ Monthly Top Doctor award, and the Castle Connolly Top Doctor award.

I enjoy taking the time to listen to each of my patients so that I can gain an understanding of what is important to them so that I can treat them effectively. I hope you and your loved ones decide to join our "family" here at Advanced Women's Health of New Jersey, and trust us to take care of you.
